Two years later Sinan felt that the belt was stolen from him in a very controversial decision loss against Luan Krasniqi.
Now Sinan is back at the top of the European ranking but the title fight in front of his home crowd at Büyük Anadolu Hotel in Ankara will be no walk it the park. ESPN Friday Night Fights in Miami
Yan Barthelemy main event on June 27th at War Memorial Auditorium in Miami
It should have been the first big night of all three Cuban Olympic gold medallists Odlanier Solis, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Yan Barthelemy in the USA. Because two of them won't make it - Solis was denied visa and Gamboa's fight against WBA #2 rated Jose Rojas has been postponed - the third one has the chance to shine even brighter.
For the first time Yan Barthelemy will be the featured main event fighter at ESPN's Friday Night Fights. His opponent hasn't been named yet but Barthelemy couldn't care less.
"This is a great honour for me and my big chance as well" states Yan. "So far I got good critiques for my style and my technique but Solis and Gamboa are in the main focus of the public. Now I want to step out of their shadows and show the world that I am an exciting fighter as well."
There will be 7 action-packed fights in total. The show starts at 7pm (local time) and will be broadcasted LIVE by ESPN2.

Williams vs. Airich on May 30th in Bilbao
Olympic gold medallist Odlanier Solis and former world heavyweight champion Francois Botha were meant to meet in the ring on May 30th in Bilbao, Spain but the fight has been moved to June 27th when ARENA presents its next show in Miami. But there will be high class heavyweight boxing in Spain nonetheless when "Sandman" Konstantin Airich faces "Brixton Bomber" Danny Williams.
Both men are known for their extremely hard punch. Airich stopped 8 of the 10 opponents he faced so far (1 draw), Williams could knocked out 30 guys in 45 fights (6 losses). The most impressive k.o.-victory Danny could score so far was surely the 4th round stoppage of none other but Mike Tyson in Louisville, Kentucky - hometown of Muhammad Ali - in 2004.
"Of course, this is a real tough test for Konstantin", states ARENA-CEO Ahmet Öner. "Danny is very experienced and has beaten a lot of great guys. But Konstantin got fists of steel. If he manages to hit Danny I believe the 'Brixton Bomber' might go down."
The co-main event of the night features former WBO world heavyweight champion Herbie Hide who is looking to defend his WBC international cruiserweight title against Ehinomen Ehikhamenor from Benin (fighting out of New York).
Also on the card: Promising middleweight prospects Mahir "Lion" Oral (vs. stable-mate Alexander Sipos) and Ruben "El Destructor" Diaz who is looking to impress his home crowd.
German sports network DSF will broadcast the show LIVE from Bilbao on May 30th starting at 10p.m.
