Firat Arslan returns on July 15th against Lubos Suda live on Eurosport

Former WBA cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan will try to get in line for another world title shot when he returns to action on July 15th in his home base in Göppingen, Germany (close to Stuttgart). Arslan will also try to avenge one of his only 5 career losses (30 wins, 1 draw) when he faces Czech toughguy Lubos Suda (23-5-1) who had beaten the German southpaw in a close fight in December 2003 in Prague.

„I know very well that Suda is a strong opponent and that I have to be at my best to beat him“, says Arslan. „I think it’s only fair that he is coming to my backyard now. I have fought him in Prague, now he is coming to Germany. I want to prove that I am better than him and that I still got what it takes to become world champion again.“

The 40-year-old certainly has no time to waste but will have to take the fast track if he wants to fight for a major title again.

Tickets for the show in Göppingen are on sale on www.ticketonline.com. Eurosport will broadcast live on July 15th at 9.00pm (CET).

Benjamin Simon on his way to a world title shot

ARENA Sports-Promotion and Prime Time Event & Entertainment to present big card on April 1 in Berlin

There has never been a weight division as much in "German hands" as the middleweight division (160 lbs.) right now with three reigning world champions - Felix Sturm (WBA), Sebastian Sylvester (IBF) and Sebastian Zbik (WBC) - and a fourth man trying to get his hand on a belt in an IBF elimination bout on April 1st in Berlin. Local hero Benjamin "Iron Ben" Simon faces Sam Soliman from Australia in an IBF intercontinental championship bout that will be for the no. 2 spot in the IBF ratings as well.

"I want to fight for a world title in the next 12 months", says Simon. "I don't care if I challenge Sylvester or any other world champion. Of course, fights between two German competitors are always a special attraction. But I would fight anybody to finally get my hands on a world title."

But before he can think of the championship bout Simon has to take care of "King" Soliman first. The 37 year old ring veteran turned pro in April 1997. He won 39 of his 50 pro-fights including 17 kos. His losses came against world class athletes such as Anthony Mundine (twice), Sakio Bika and Ronal "Winky" Wright.

"There is no doubt that Soliman has been in the ring with some of the best fighters in the world", says trainer and manager Robert Rolle. "This is for sure the toughest fight in Benjamin's career so far. But if he wants to make it to the top he has to beat strong and experienced opponents like Soliman. We wre very well prepared and I am convinced that Benni will win this fight."

The world title eliminator is only one of many highlights on the card presented by ARENA Sports-Promotion in association with Prime Time Event & Entertainment. In the co-feature unbeaten German heavyweights Yakup Saglam and Michael Wallisch fight for the German heavyweight championship. Berlin based light heavyweight contender Varol Vekiloglu fights for the IBF East West European championship, heavyweight contender Alexander Petkovic will return into the ring after his controversial draw with Timo Hoffmann in October 2010 and heavyweight prospect Erkan Teper will try to continue his fast rise to the top as well.

There will be two female world championships as well featuring Rola El-Halabi (vs. Irma Balijagic Adler) and Jennifer Retzke (vs. Eva Halasi). Last but not least ARENA's "first lady" Özlem Sahin returns to the ring to get ready for a world title fight which is planned for July.

"It will be a great night of boxing and I'm looking forward to a fantastic show", says promoter Ahmet Oner.

Tickets are on sale on www.prime-time-boxing.com and www.figosport.de. Eurosport will broadcast the show from "digibet Pferdesportpark Berlin-Karlshorst" live starting at 9.00pm.

Gamboa vs. Solis on March 26 in Atlantic City

On March 26 featherweight superstar Yuriorkis Gamboa steps into the ring at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City to take on Jorge Solis from Mexico. It's Gamboa's 20th pro-fight (so far 19 wins including 15 knockouts) and the first time he defends two world champion title. In September 2010 "El Ciclon" had unified his WBA championship with the IBF title by beating Orlando Salido in Las Vegas.

"I am very proud on everything I have achieved so far", says Gamboa. "But I also know that I still got a long way to go. I work hard every day to improve my game. Solis is a very strong opponent and I cannot underestimate him."

In fact, Jorge "Coloradito" Solis from Guadalajara (Mexico) is the reigning WBA super featherweight champion and coming down in weight to challenge Gamboa. The experienced, skilled and slick fighter has won 40 out of 45 pro-fight including 29 stoppages. His last defeat was in July 2009 when he lost a close decision to Cristobal Cruz in an IBF featherweight championship bout.

"Gamboa comoetes at a level where he faces world class athletes in every single fight", states promoter Ahmet Oner. "There are no easy fights for him anymore and Solis will definitely come to take Gamboa's belts. He is a lot taller than Gamboa. I expect a close and exciting fight - as always when Yuri enters the ring."

Besides the world championship between Gamboa and Solis there will be two more international title fights with unbeaten contenders facing off at "Boardwalk Hall" in Atlantic City featured on the undercard. Jorge Diaz (24-0) takes on Teon Kennedy (16-0-1) for the USBA super bantamweight championship. And fast rising featherweight prospect Miguel Angel "Mikey" Garcia (24-0) faces Matt Remillard (23-0) for the NABF and NABO titles. Garcia is Gamboa's next mandatory challenger so he could qualify for a title shot in case he beats Remillard.

The show will be promoted by Top Rank and ARENA Sports-Promotion and will be featured on HBO's "Boxing After Dark" (9.45pm ET / PT). Sky will broadcast the card in Germany in the night from March 26 to March 27.
